As a technical advocate, he focused on cyber security in learning with Cisco, my mission is to seize our community with knowledge and tools to succeed in today’s constantly developing landscape. Few cyber security events embody the touch of innovation and learning like Black Hat USA. I am incredibly enthusiastic that I can share that this August I will be waiting for this year’s event in Las Vegas and eager to submit to the last procedure that creates our fields.
What is a black hat?
If you are a newcomer at the Cybersecurity Conference Circuit, Black Hat is a world -renowned series of events famous for its deep technical and neutral focus on the seller. It attracts various viewers – scientists in the field of security, hackers, corporate and government experts, managers and even those who are just starting cyber security. The Black Hat USA 2025 will take place 2.-7. August at the Congress Center Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Why am I waiting for a black hat this year
At Cisco, my role focuses on the champion’s safety solutions and our community equipment. Black Hat offers a unique opportunity to stay in the forefront of cyber security innovation. This is a place where they represent the clear mind of the breakthrough of breakthrough research, new tools and new strategies.
I am waiting for the first insight into the latest threats and defense, to explore the dynamic interplay between offense and defense and bring special knowledge back to the Cisco community to increase collective safety. It is also a fantastic place to connect with peers and thought leaders that support the continuous teaching thinking that is necessary in our field.
What am I looking forward to most in Black Hat USA
There is no lack of things in Black Hat USA you should see and do. Here are several peaks that I am especially excited about.
Strategic knowledge of cyber security from the main phase
The key notes of the main stage always set tone and offer high level perspectives to the current and future state of cyber security. This year I am particularly interested in the limits: transformation SOC to deal with modern challenges, was Tony Paterra, Vice President for Product Management – Safety Product in Splunk, Thursday, August 7.
The Cers (SOCS) security operations face significant challenges – fragmented tools, limited visibility and a gap of the persistent skills to name Tom. I hear Tony’s vision eagerly to build a more united and adaptable SOC and explore how these ideas are in accordance with Cisco’s cyber security certifications. As someone who is devoted to bridging the gap in the field of cyber security, I appreciate any opportunity where we can better support soc teams.
Top Briefings of Threats
The technical heart of the black hat lies in its briefingty. This is where leading scientists accelerate the latest injury, attack methods and defensive tactics. I am particularly interested in sitting in the field of cyber defense and attack, securing the supplier chain and cloud vulnerability.
One standout is the briefing Cisco Talos, Genai: How it is used as a bait, tool and weapon introduced by Nick Biasini, leading Outreach, Cisco Talos, Wednesday 6 August. Generative AI quickly exceeds our industry. Hearing directly from Cisco Talos about the threat and defense of Genai in the real world is invalid for my role in the advice and education of our community.
Examining
Arsenal is a place where innovation comes to life. Live demos, direct interactions with developers-is practical learning that you can’t get anywhere else. I am always looking for new open source tools that simplify complex tasks and increase automation, especially those that are in line with the principles of Devnet.
That’s why I look forward to Wargame AI 6 and 7 August. It is a fun simulation, educational attack and defense. As you may know from my recent tutorial about vulnerability, I love pushing the AI system on their limits. The format of this war, defending the secrets of the chatbot and at the same time to explore others, provides a dynamic way to experience AI safety challenges first -hand.
Connection in business Hall and then
While technical content is excellent, the network options are equally valuable. The black hat collects a pulsating and influence community, and the events of information often evoke the most important conversations. I look forward to engaging with customers, learn about their experience and collecting feedback that helps create Cisco solutions.
It is not possible to omit for me a joking afterparty with Cisco and Contrast Security 6. August on the stadium claim. The exclusive approach of the stadium, refreshment and the possibility to meet leaders and peers of the merger Security is a perfect environment for creating a connection. Signing the book The Book “Threat Hunter” by Splunk’s Surge Team is a great bonus!
